Rules for safe random chat
Frinly is built around quick anonymous chat, broad public location labels, and visible safety controls. These rules are written for Frinly and should be reviewed by a lawyer before public launch.
Rule group 1
Respectful chat
Keep the room friendly, calm, and safe for strangers.
- No harassment, threats, intimidation, bullying, or hate.
- No slurs, discriminatory comments, or attacks based on identity, appearance, religion, nationality, gender, or sexuality.
- Do not pressure someone to stay, reveal private details, move platforms, or do anything they do not want to do.
Rule group 2
Video behavior
Video chat should show a real person in a normal, safe setting.
- Keep your face visible when using video chat.
- No nudity, sexual behavior, sexual gestures, or sexual comments toward strangers.
- Do not point the camera at private body parts, bathrooms, explicit material, weapons, or disturbing content.
- Do not use virtual cameras, recordings, screen shares, altered feeds, or other fake camera sources to mislead people.
Rule group 3
Privacy and location
Frinly is anonymous by default, and exact details should stay private.
- Do not ask for or share exact addresses, schools, workplaces, phone numbers, passwords, IDs, or private accounts.
- Do not try to identify, track, expose, record, or embarrass another guest.
- Only broad public location labels should appear in chat. Exact GPS and admin security signals must stay private.
Rule group 4
Spam and abuse
Random chat should not become an ad, scam, or raid.
- No ads, scams, phishing, mass links, follow-for-follow requests, or promotional scripts.
- Do not automate chats, manipulate the service, overload rooms, or attempt to bypass safety systems.
- Do not encourage illegal activity, self-harm, exploitation, or harm against another person.
Rule group 5
Reporting
Safety tools should be used quickly and honestly.
- Use Report when someone breaks the rules or makes the chat unsafe.
- Use Report immediately for underage use, minor-safety concerns, exploitation concerns, threats, or illegal activity.
- Use Block or Next to leave a bad interaction immediately.
- False or abusive reports can be reviewed later when production moderation tools are active.
Rule group 6
Age and access
Frinly random chat is for self-declared adults.
- Guest setup requires a self-declared age of 18 or older before chat starts.
- Do not use Frinly if you are under 18.
- Public launch still requires final legal and app-store review of the age and access policy.
- Admins stay hidden from public navigation and are only for safety, launch readiness, and moderation work.
